Our weekly Bible study meets on Thursdays at 7pm to study the scriptures. We focus on one book of the Bible and work our way through that book. Pastor Dave leads the study and there is ample opportunity for discussion and different viewpoints are held and expressed by those in attendance. The group has become a rather close-knit bunch as there is a core group of about 8 or 9 who attend faithfully. Anyone looking to learn more about the Word of God is more than welcome to attend; we would love to have you!
Covenant Women
This group consists of all women of the church. Over the years the group served as a fellowship – sharing devotions, raising funds for special projects, and sharing in craft ideas. Today, although they meet less frequently – they are just a strong in their desire to help those less fortunate and help with the beautification of our church building. The Annual Swedish Meatball Supper continues to be the group's largest yearly fundraiser, raising in excess of $1500 yearly for worthy projects.
Meal with the Minister
We hold monthly soup luncheons at church to encourage non-Sunday fellowship within our congregation. Pastor Dave makes a soup or stew and any who are available are welcome to come and share a meal and fellowship together. There are usually about 7-10 people. This meal is free but contributions are accepted and appreciated.
Movie Night
Once a month we show a spiritually significant film or a film that has implications for the Christian life. These are typically films that one benefits from when watching with a group and then discussing the movie together afterward. We get together for pizza before the movie, watch the movie, and then have a discussion time afterward. We have had anywhere from two or three people to 12 or 14. Those who do come find the movies very meaningful and thought-provoking. The discussion is key because many times we watch a movie and don’t “process” it or talk about it with others—sometimes we miss how they might apply to our lives and our faith beliefs.
