Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. The sermon this week (June 22nd) was titled, "Dealing with Difficulties." We all face difficulties and hardships in life, whether it be in our job, our marriage, with our kids or tragedies in life. How do we, or how should we, deal with difficulties? The sermon suggests three ways: 1) prayer; 2) Scripture reading; and 3) friendships with wise and godly people who support us.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Bible Study--this Thursday at 7pm at church. We are studying the book of Acts. |

Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. The sermon this week (May 25th) focuses on Jesus' teachings on worry. "Do not worry," He says, which is easier said than done for most of us. We worry about all kinds of things--many of which never even come to pass. Instead we are to focus on God and on others--seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Bible Study--this Thursday at 7pm at church. We are studying the book of Acts. Sunday, June 8th

Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. The sermon this week (May 18th) focused on Jesus' commission or task given to His disciples. This Sunday was Trinity Sunday and so the focus was also on God as triune--Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus says we are to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Disciples are those who follow Jesus in thought, word and deed. Jesus tells us to make disciples, not converts, and there is a difference.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Board Meeting--Tuesday May 20th. Bible Study--this Thursday at 7pm at church. Sunday, June 8th

Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. The sermon this week (May 11th) made the point that Christ's death on the cross was not a defeat by any means. Rather, it was the moment of His glorification and His victory over sin. God was working even in and through the worst that humanity has to offer--the crucifixion of God's Son. God's will and purpose was accomplished at the cross but this does not mean those who carried out the brutal act are not held responsible. God's sovereignty and human responsibility need to be held in tension with each other.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Board Meeting--the church board will meet on both Tuesday, May 13th and Tuesday May 20th. Bible Study--this Thursday at 7pm at church. Sunday, June 8th

Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. This Sunday's sermon (May 4th) asked the question, "Are we tired of playing it safe?" Jesus tells a parable about a man who entrusted three of his servants with some money. Two of the servants went to work and doubled the money. The third buried the money in the ground because he was afraid to lose any of it and afraid to risk anything. The kingdom of God works like this Jesus says--we need to multiply rather than simply preserve. God rewards those who take risks out of faith.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Bible Study--this Thursday at 7pm at church. Movie Night--Saturday, May 10th. The movie this month is A Man For All Seasons. When Henry VIII (Robert Shaw) seeks approval from the aristocracy to divorce his wife and marry Anne Boleyn, Sir Thomas More (Paul Scofield) finds himself caught between a murderous king and the powerful Roman Catholic Church. Richly crafted with spectacular period details and a fine supporting cast, director Paul Zinnemann's drama swept the Oscars for 1966, winning numerous golden statuettes, including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Director. We will meet at church at 5:30pm for pizza and begin the movie around 6pm. The movie is 2 hours. Discussion time will follow. There will be a sign up sheet in the vestry—please sign up or call to let us know if you plan to come for pizza. Sunday, June 8th
