Sunday
(Sept. 14th) was about accepting one another and our differences on disputable matters. Paul talks about disputable matters (issues that are not right or wrong according to Scripture) in Romans 14. We are not to judge each other on these differences. Too often we do and our mission as Christians or as a church is compromised.

Sunday
(August 24th) asked the question, "Who Do You Say I Am?" That is the question Jesus asks Peter and the other disciples. He has asked what others thought about Him, now He asks them what they think themselves. It is a question from Jesus to us that each of us must answer for ourselves: "Who do you say that I am?"

Sunday (August 17th) asked the question, "Where is our hope?" What do we put our hope in? What gets us through life? What sustains us on a daily basis? Is it our own power and ability and hope in ourselves, or do we have a power and a hope greater than ourselves? There are times when Jesus is our only hope.

The
sermon
this Sunday (August 10th) asked the question, "Can we walk on water?" We are told that Jesus did so, and that the disciple Peter also did....at least until he took his eyes off of Jesus. Our Savior calls us to have the courage to call to Him and then "get out of the boat" and go to Him. We as a church need the courage to step out in faith into our community and we need to step out in our own personal lives as well.
