This past Sunday was our children's Christmas pageant, "Jesus Is the Reason for the Season." This was a wonderful time and thanks to all who participated and planned this worship event.
We wish everyone a healthy and happy new year!
Here are some upcoming events at Bethlehem Covenant:
There will be no Bible study this week because of the New Year's Day holiday. We will resume on January 8th at 7pm.
Veritas Team Meeting--Tuesday Jan. 6th at 7pm at church.
Soup Luncheon--Sunday, Jan. 11th following the morning worship service.
The sermon this Sunday (on 2 Peter 3:8-18) was an Advent sermon on the second coming of Christ. We often think the Lord is not coming back--after all it's been some 2,000 years since Christ was on this earth and He seemed to indicate then that He was coming back soon. But God's timing is not like ours--Peter tells us that to God, a day is like a thousand years. Christ will come back, and we need to be ready whenever that may be.
