Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry.

The sermon this Sunday (March 9th) asks the question that God asks the prophet Ezekiel: "Can these bones live?"  Ezekiel is shown a vision of a valley full of dry bones.  These symbolize the people of Israel who are "dead" in their sins.  They are without hope and their souls have dried up.  Spiritually dead they certainly are.  By God's power the bones come to life--actually it is through the breath of Spirit of God that the bones are given life.  How about ourselves?  Are we like dried up bones spirtually?  How about our church?  Where do we need new life in our church?

Here are some upcoming events on our calendar:

Church Board Meeting---Tuesday, March 11th at 7pm at church.

Choir Practice--Sat. March 15th at 1:30pm.

Quinsig Village Lenten Soup Supper and Worship Schedule:

Soup at 6pm, Worship at 7pm.

Wednesday, Mach 12th at St. Catherine of Sweden.  There will be soup supper and a worship service.

Maundy Thursday Service--Thursday, March 20th at .  Join us for this Holy Week service as we celebrate Holy Communion together and remember the betrayal of our Lord.

Movie Night--Our next movie night will be Saturday, March 22nd.  This is the Saturday of Holy Week and the movie will be The Passion of the Christ.  Oscar-winning actor-director Mel Gibson directs this controversial epic film that focuses on the last 12 hours of Jesus's life—from the betrayal, trial and death of Jesus to his brutal Crucifixion and resurrection from the tomb.  Starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus, Maia Morgenstern as Jesus's mother and Monica Bellucci as Mary Magdalene, The Passion is spoken entirely in Latin and Aramaic (English subtitles), and the violent crucifixion scenes are incredibly graphic.  The movie is rated R because of the violence.  This is not a movie appropriate for children.  We will meet at church at 5:30pm for pizza and begin the movie around 6pm.  Discussion time will follow.  There will be a sign up sheet in the vestry—please sign up or call to let us know if you plan to come for pizza.

Meal with the Minister--Our next soup luncheon for this season will be held on Wednesday, March 19th at 12 noon.  Pastor Dave will provide the soup/stew, chips and drink.  If you would like to bring a dessert to share, please let Pastor Dave know.  All who can come are welcome, and if you need a ride, let us know and we can arrange that.
