Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry.

The sermon this Sunday (the 17th) asks the question, "What Do You See?"  The text is from Numbers 13 where Moses asks a group of twelve to go investigate the Promised Land that God has given to the Israelites.  They bring back a good report but also say that the land is full of obstacles.  Some spread a bad report about the land in spite of the fact that God has told them the land is to be theirs.  They focus on the negative instead of what God has promised.  How often do we do that in our churches?

Here are some upcoming events on our calendar:

Bible Study--Thursday at 7pm.  We are finishing our study of John's Gospel.

Confirmation--Sunday the 17th from 4:30 to 6pm.

Quinsig Village Lenten Soup Supper and Worship Schedule:

Soup at 6pm, Worship at 7pm.

Wednesday, Feb. 20th—Emanuel Lutheran with Father George Ridick preaching

Wednesday, Feb. 27th—Quinsig United Methodist with Pastor Dave preaching

Wednesday, March 5th at Bethlehem Covenant with Rev. Avis Hoyt-O’Connor preaching.

Wednesday, Mach 12th at St. Catherine of Sweden.  There will be soup supper and a worship service.

Meal with the Minister--Wednesday, Feb. 20th.  Pastor Dave will provide the soup/stew, chips and drink.  If you would like to bring a dessert to share, please let Pastor Dave know.  All who can come are welcome, and if you need a ride, let us know and we can arrange that.

Movie Night--Saturday, February 23rd.  This month’s movie is “Antwone Fisher.”   A young sailor, Antwone Fisher (Derek Luke), is ordered to see a Navy psychiatrist (Denzel Washington) who helps him get a handle on debilitating anger that causes many shipboard scraps—and that also led Fisher to a life of crime before he joined the Navy.  Via therapy, Antwone seeks out the family that abandoned him as a child and experiences a catharsis that leads him to a career as a Hollywood screenwriter.  Based on a true story.  This film is rated PG-13 (adult language and themes, child abuse, brief violence).  Directed by Denzel Washington.  We will meet at church at 5:30pm for pizza and begin the movie around 6pm.  Discussion time will follow.  There will be a sign up sheet in the vestry—please let us know if you plan to come for pizza.

Jews for Jesus Presentation—“Christ in the Passover.”

Thursday, March 6th at 6pm.  We will begin the evening with a potluck supper at 6pm and then the presentation will start at 7pm.  This sermonic demonstration is visual, so the congregation will actually see a table set with traditional Passover items.  The missionary uses Scripture as well as the visual items to walk through a Jewish Passover seder, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death and resurrection of Christ.  The words He spoke in the upper room come alive as each Hebraic item is carefully explained.
