Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. This Sunday's sermon was called, "Pray for All Because Christ Died for All." The Apostle Paul writes: “I urge, then, first of all,” he says, “that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Timothy 2:1). This means we are to pray for all leaders of all countries, even those who are our real or imagined enemies. Jesus tells us to pray for our enemies, to bless those who persecute us. That's hard stuff. It's not natural for us--it goes against everything society teaches us. But it is the Christian thing to do.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Bible Study--Thursday nights at church at 7pm. We are studying the Gospel of John. Youth Group--Wed. Sept. 26th from 6:30 to 8pm at church. Confirmation Class--begins this Sunday the 30th from 4:30 to 6pm at church.
