Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. The sermon this week (June 29th) is titled, "The Lord Will Provide." This sermon deals with the story of Abraham's near sacrifice of his only son, Isaac. God tells Abraham to sacrifice his son. Why would God do this? Why would Abraham almost go through with it? God stops Abraham at the last minute, but it is still a troubling story for many. What can we learn from this? How does this story apply to us today? What does it say about God? Bible Study--no Bible study until July 17th. Next week our guest preacher will be the Rev. Robert Satterberg. Rev. Satterberg is the Director of Pastoral Ministries at the Children’s Home of Cromwell in Cromwell, CT.
Scholarship Applications are now available. These are for those who are in an institution of higher learning beyond high school. See Pastor Dave. The application deadline is July 31st of this year.
Volunteers needed—July 15th and 16th (Tues. and Wed.) to work with kids at Quinsigamond school summer program. We will be working with people from the Methodist church also making tye-dyed t-shirts with the kids. We begin at the school around 3:15pm and end around 5pm. |

Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. The sermon this week (June 22nd) was titled, "Dealing with Difficulties." We all face difficulties and hardships in life, whether it be in our job, our marriage, with our kids or tragedies in life. How do we, or how should we, deal with difficulties? The sermon suggests three ways: 1) prayer; 2) Scripture reading; and 3) friendships with wise and godly people who support us.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Bible Study--this Thursday at 7pm at church. We are studying the book of Acts. |

Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. The sermon this week (May 25th) focuses on Jesus' teachings on worry. "Do not worry," He says, which is easier said than done for most of us. We worry about all kinds of things--many of which never even come to pass. Instead we are to focus on God and on others--seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Bible Study--this Thursday at 7pm at church. We are studying the book of Acts. Sunday, June 8th

Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. The sermon this week (May 18th) focused on Jesus' commission or task given to His disciples. This Sunday was Trinity Sunday and so the focus was also on God as triune--Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus says we are to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Disciples are those who follow Jesus in thought, word and deed. Jesus tells us to make disciples, not converts, and there is a difference.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Board Meeting--Tuesday May 20th. Bible Study--this Thursday at 7pm at church. Sunday, June 8th

Welcome to Bethlehem Covenant's online ministry. The sermon this week (May 11th) made the point that Christ's death on the cross was not a defeat by any means. Rather, it was the moment of His glorification and His victory over sin. God was working even in and through the worst that humanity has to offer--the crucifixion of God's Son. God's will and purpose was accomplished at the cross but this does not mean those who carried out the brutal act are not held responsible. God's sovereignty and human responsibility need to be held in tension with each other.
Here are some upcoming events on our calendar: Board Meeting--the church board will meet on both Tuesday, May 13th and Tuesday May 20th. Bible Study--this Thursday at 7pm at church. Sunday, June 8th
